    Do you have software product management experience? Is your background in Agile methodologies? We’re looking for a business-oriented, pragmatic self-starter to join our team as a Business Analyst (BA), Text Recruit, where you’ll serve as the product owner for our TextRecruit product suite. In this role, you’ll transfer market problems and opportunities into epics and user stories to provoke solution-based discussions within a team environment, and help facilitate communication between internal technical and non-technical teams. You’ll be responsible for gathering user requirements and grooming backlog, as well as introducing, implementing and facilitating Agile methodologies. If you’re an exceptional communicator who can skillfully articulate problems and solutions to both a technical and business-oriented audience, this could be a perfect fit.


    • Maintain a prioritized and transparent team backlog based on customer value.
    • Articulate the customer value of each backlog priority to the agile team.
    • Encourage healthy debate on how to solve the persona’s problem while focusing on the who, the what and the why.
    • Available for agile team and participation in agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, planning, grooming, sprint reviews and retrospectives.
    • Facilitate effective backlog grooming sessions with agile team.
    • Solicit feedback from end users and internal stakeholders through effective sprint reviews.
    • Partner with product managers to understand the market, strategic vision and direction of the product.
    • Partner with program technical and UX architects to ensure projects are ready for development.
    • Create and organize epics and user stories, based on market evidence, to start a conversation with the agile team on how to solve the persona’s problem.
    • Validate completed user stories meet quality standards defined in the definition of done and address the persona’s problem.
    • Develop a deep understanding of the persona’s needs through direct and indirect contact.
    • Communicate development milestones to internal and external stakeholders.
    • Balance sustainment responsibilities with creating new customer value and mitigate carrying debt.
    • Document user perceivable changes for successful downstream creation of supporting materials
    • Train the trainer. Prepare customer service and sales operations for appropriate organizational readiness needs.
    • Share market knowledge with the agile team gained by customer and prospect interactions.
    • Work closely with the test engineering to ensure test cases trace align with acceptance criteria.
    • Act in a consultative capacity with UX architects while design activities occur.
    • Demonstrate expertise and proficiency within multiple technologies or domains

    • Consistently ensures that business is conducted with integrity at all times and that behavior aligns with iCIMS’ policies, procedures, and core competencies


    • Consistent demonstration of positive team influence.
    • Minimum of 1 year experience in software product development.
    • A certain degree of creativity and latitude is preferred.
    • A self-starter with the demonstrated ability to take initiative with limited direction.
    • Curiosity and passion about technology and how things work.
    • Demonstrable knowledge of software development lifecycles and activities preferred.
    • Preferably demonstrates a strong understanding of software Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum.
    • Ability to articulate market problems and solutions to both technical and business oriented individuals.
    • Persuasiveness and perseverance.
    • Exceptional presentation skills and confidence with a C-Suite audience.
    • Preferably proficient with Atlassian tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Articulates thoughts and ideas clearly, concisely, and persuasively.
    • Ability to work effectively within a fast paced, changing environment that is going through high growth.
    • A passion for delivering a customer experience second to none.


    Education/Certifications/Licenses Required
    • Bachelor’s degree in a business, computer science, or information technology related field or related experience.
    • BI/SQL knowledge or certification preferred


    Up to 30% overnight travel required
